A viewing of Ava DuVernay's "13th". A Netflix documentary that focuses on the history of black imprisonment in America. It will be followed by a powerful panel discussion, with participants including UW criminal and constitutional law professors and a Wisconsin wrongfully convicted former inmate. This event will provide an opportunity to understand the growing concern, dishearten feelings and outright rage among minority communities, why its happening, and how you fit into it. The goal is to foster a positive,insightful environment and open dialogue. Beverages and popcorn will be provided.
